It's September already!! The media center is constantly gaining new titles. This month, I have added over 100 titles!! Some of those 100 books have already been checked out by our 8th graders that read DAILY. This year we will have a Helen Ruffin Reading Bowl team. The team will consist of ten members. All are welcome to attend an interest meeting on Wednesday, September 19, 2012. All competition information will be distributed at this time. Transportation home WILL NOT be provided. Hats Off to Mr. Antwon Willis for his collaborative efforts. We are working together to teach Common Core standards and NETS (National Educational Technology Standards). Our collaboration will result in his sixth grade students being able to access, locate, and evaluate information. Check back in to read my next post to see a sample product from Mr. Willis' students.
