Read, Read, Read in 2013!!

Collaboration, Leadership and Technology are the three central themes of the media center. Your input is extremely important to the media center. As teachers design instruction for students, they consider the media center's resources. The print and non print resources are great. If you have not spent time working with the media center staff this academic year, please do so soon. Students are preparing for the "Read the Most Coast to Coast" celebration on March 1, 2013. On this day, we celebrate Dr, Suess's birthday by taking Accelerated Reader quizzes all day. Guests will visit the media center and read with students and share their special story. Volunteers are needed. Please see Mrs. Walker or Ms. Hogue if you are available to volunteer on this day. New arrivals will be here soon!!! The media center staff is beyond excited about our new books. An order was placed after the winter break to grow our fiction and nonfiction collection. Check in the media center in a few weeks to see the new titles. Overdue book notices will go home on Jan. 31, 2013. Please return all overdue books and clear any fines you may have as soon as possible. All fines follow you through 12th grade. Keep Reading, Mrs. Walker
